ACE Governing bodies

ACE Executive Committee

Day-to-day operations of ACE are governed by a three-person Executive Committee, headed by the president of ACE.

Miguel de la Mano is the President of ACE.  He is the deputy chief economist in CET (chief competition economist team) in DG Competition, and from October 1 2011 he will be the acting chief economist in Competition Commission in the UK.  He received his PhD from Oxford University, and joined the Commission in 2001.  His e-mail is Miguel.delaMano@cc.gsi.gov.uk

Maarten Pieter Schinkel is a professor at University of Amsterdam and co-director of Amsterdam Center for Law & Economics (ACLE).  He received his PhD from University of Maastricht, and has held positions at MIT and the Universities of Maastricht, Regensburg and Liege, and is a senior consultant for Charles Rivers Associates (CRA). Mark Williams
is a Director at NERA, and leads NERA's European competition policy group in London and Brussels. His first involvement in antitrust matters dates to the 1988 GEC/Siemens/Plessey merger. His e-mail is mark.williams@nera.com 


ACE Secretary

The Secretary of ACE takes care of practical matters such as the web page, finances and elections.


From May 2010, Professor Lars Sørgard at the Norwegian School of Economics is Secretary of ACE.  He may be contacted by email on mailto:Lars.Sorgard@nhh.no  

He took over from Professor Peter Møllgaard of the Department of Economics at the Copenhagen Business School.
