ACE Governing bodies

ACE Executive Committee

Day-to-day operations of ACE are governed by a three-person Executive Committee, headed by the president of ACE.

The President of ACE is Anne Perrot. She is a vice president of the French Conseil de la concurrence and a professor of economics at University of Paris I and ENSAE. Her e-mail is anne.perrot@conseil-concurrence.fr

Massimo Motta is a professor of economics at the European University Institute in Florence and at Università di Bologna. In addition to  many academic articles, he is the author of Competition Policy: Theory and Practice (Cambridge University Press, 2004). His e-mail is massimo.motta@iue.it

Mark Williams is a Director at NERA, and leads NERA's European competition policy group in London and Brussels. His first involvement in antitrust matters dates to the 1988 GEC/Siemens/Plessey merger. His e-mail is mark.williams@nera.com 


ACE Secretary

The Secretary of ACE takes care of practical matters such as the web page, finances and elections.

ACE Steering Committee

The Association's steering committee is made up of representatives from Academia, Government and Business. In addition to the executive committee, they are: Svend Albæk of the Chief Economists Team at DG Competition; Cristina Caffarra of CRA International; Amelia Fletcher of the Office of Fair Trading; Helen Jenkins of Oxera; Bruce Lyons of the University of East Anglia; Abel M. Mateus of the Portuguese Competition Authority; David Sevy of LECG; Konrad Stahl of the University of Mannheim; and Frank Verboven of the Catholic University, Leuven.

On 30 June 2008, ACE started an election of five new members for the Steering Committee to replace two outgoing academics and three outgoing consultants who have ended their terms. The election was undertaken by e-mail and the deadline for voting was July 9, 2008. The newly elected members of the steering committee were Bruce Lyons, Frank Verboven, Cristina Caffara, Helen Jenkins and David Sevy.
