ACE Executive Committee

Day-to-day operations of ACE are governed by a three-person Executive Committee, headed by the president of ACE.
Penelope Papandropoulos is the president of ACE. Since November 2014, she has been the state aid coordinator of the Chief Economist Team at DG Competition of the European Commission. In her role as state aid coordinator, she manages a team of economists dealing with day-to-day support to case teams involved in state aid cases. She also advises the Chief Economist on state aid files to be discussed with the Competition Commissioner as well as on policy discussions related to state aid policy. Prior to working on state aid cases, Penelope was member of the cabinet of Commissioner Almunia, mostly dealing with mergers and antitrust in energy, financial services, media and telecommunications. She also worked for several years on complex merger cases in the Chief Economist team, and prior to that as an economic consultant at CRA. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Her email is  

Markus Reisinger is Professor for Industrial Organization and Microeconomics and Head of the Economics Department at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

Adina Claici is Director of the Brussels Office of Copenhagen Economics and visiting professor at the College of Europe in Bruges.
